Get ready for the first ever Te Miro Tussle β Te Miroβs first dedicated trail running event!
From the team behind the Te Miro Twister and Te Miro Triple, this event brings runners and walkers onto the epic trails of Te Miro MTB Park for a day of hills, mud, laughs, team spirit and maybe a few sore legs.
Whether youβre chasing a podium, tackling your first trail event, racing your mates, or bringing the kids along for a fun run, thereβs something for everyone.

Race Day Information
Aid Stations & Hydration
An aid station will be located at the Event Hub / Start-Finish Area.
Half Marathon participants will pass through the Event Hub during the event before continuing onto their final 11km.
For the 10km, 5km and Kids events, water will be available at the finish area.
Participants are encouraged to carry their own hydration, nutrition, and personal requirements.

Podium medals only. No finisher medals unless otherwise specified.
Parking
Parking information will be released closer to race day.

MTB Park Rules & Training Access
Te Miro remains an active MTB park.
If training on sections of the course before race day:
β’ Give way to riders at all times
β’ Respect temporary trail closures or restrictions
β’ Follow all park signage and safety information
Donations towards park upkeep are appreciated when using the park.
Photography & Media
Photography and video may be taken during the event and used for promotional purposes.
By entering the event, participants agree to this use.
Spectators & Supporters
Spectators are welcome and encouraged to come along and support.

Race Rules & Safety
Mandatory Gear
Participant safety is our priority.
Organisers reserve the right to require mandatory gear depending on weather conditions and safety requirements.
Mandatory gear may include:

β’ Appropriate footwear
Final gear requirements will be communicated closer to race day.
Minimum Ages
21km Half Marathon: Minimum age 16 years
10km Event: Minimum age 12 years
5km Run / Walk: Open to all ages
2km Kids Event: Recommended for ages 12 and under
Half Marathon Cut-Off Time
The Half Marathon has a 4-hour cut-off time from the official race start.
Participants not meeting cut-off requirements may be withdrawn from the event for safety reasons.
Race Rules
Participants enter at their own risk.
β’ Follow instructions from event officials and volunteers
β’ Race bibs must remain visible during the event
β’ No race bib swapping without approval
β’ Remain on marked courses at all times
β’ Course cutting may result in disqualification
β’ Respect volunteers, riders, other park users, neighbouring properties, and the environment

Medical & First Aid
First aid support will be available during the event.
Participants are responsible for ensuring they are medically fit, adequately prepared, and capable of completing their chosen event distance.
Entry Transfers
Entries may be transferred until Sunday 9 August 2026.
No transfers or changes will be permitted after this date.
Transfer fees may apply.
No Dogs
No dogs are permitted during events or on course.

Organisers reserve the right to alter courses, start times, or cancel events if required due to safety, weather conditions, or circumstances outside our control.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I walk instead of run?
Absolutely. Walkers are welcome in all events.
Can I enter as a team?
Yes! Teams consist of 4 people and can include participants across different distances.
Simply enter the same team name during registration.
Can I run with headphones?
Headphones are permitted, however participants should remain aware of their surroundings, volunteers, and other participants.
Can I run with my dog?
No. Dogs are not permitted during events or on course.
Can I transfer my entry?
Yes. Entries can be transferred until Sunday 9 August 2026.
Transfer fees may apply.
Can I change distances after entering?
Distance changes may be possible before entries close, subject to availability and event capacity.
What happens if it rains?
This is trail running β expect mud π
Events will proceed in most weather conditions unless organisers determine conditions are unsafe.
